Who We Are

Handmade Fever started off with a mum interested in making traditional soap! After learning to make natural handmade soap and trying it on herself and her children she was amazed with the results! In particular, when she used the soap on her 3-year-old little boy who suffered with eczema, she noticed that exzema disappeared! She had used all the prescribed creams and bath liquids from her GP and her local pharmacy but it only worked for a bit and as soon as she stopped using those products, eczema seemed to come back with a vengeance! This is when she realized that the issue was the products that used chemicals whether prescribed or not and for her son who had sensitive skin, it was causing eczema. From then on, over the years she started working on all products that she and her family could use that were all natural…. from handmade perfume, deodorant, shampoo bars and even hair conditioners and was amazed at the results. Mum realized that natural best for her, her family and for the human race!

natural products handmade fever

Natural

We believe that anything you put on your skin, you should also be able to eat, that shows it is natural. If it can’t be eaten then why should it go on the skin as it takes 20 minutes for the skin to absorb anything we put on it! So as far as possible, natural products should be used whether it is a Body Butter, Body Powder or a Deodorant! So, no chemicals, no solvents, no toxins and no synthetic preservatives!

Handmade in the UK

All products are made in the UK in small batches to ensure they are kept fresh and have a longer shelf life. We also believe in making all our products in the UK and hence giving jobs to local people and doing our bit to help the British economy grow.

Plastic Free

As far as possible, we try to minimize the use of plastic and the reason for this is because plastic stays in the environment for a long time, which threatens wildlife and spreads toxins. Plastic also contributes to global warming and is made from chemicals that come from the production of planet warming fuels (gas, oil and even coal).

Finally, all our products are mostly vegan apart from a few products that use honey. Even our handmade balms are vegan using Calendula wax! All our products have the ingredients listed on the label so please read these just to make sure you are entirely happy in it being totally vegan before purchase.

We believe in keeping our products as low in cost as possible. Just because they come from natural products and are handmade, they shouldn’t be a luxury but affordable so everyone can experience the joys of using natural products that don’t have harsh chemicals in that can cause all sorts of problems in the long-term.
